From a Michigan bag, Scott took out an Ohio State jersey. The fact that it was his dad’s birthday and that he loves Ohio State ought to have been a clue.
The Wolverines’ failure to select Scott and Bryce West is unfortunate. These two cornerbacks, who rank in the top 100, had official visits. It seems that Scott took Michigan football more seriously than did West.
It does not, however, alter the reality that the Michigan football team will need to replace the cornerback board. Jamir Benjamin, a West Bloomfield resident, recently left Northwestern University.
In the state of Michigan, Benjamin ranks among the top 10 players in the 2024 class. This past weekend, he was in Los Angeles, but perhaps the Michigan Wolverines will get involved. He did receive a football offer from Michigan.
