West Ham right-back Vladimir Coufal was due to be out of contract at the London Stadium at the end of this season, but he recently penned a new 12-month extension.
With the exception of one, in which he played 87 minutes (Transfermarkt), the 31-year-old Hammers right-back has really been in excellent form this season and David Moyes has started him in every Premier League game! He has also played 90 minutes in every game!
It’s safe to say that Coufal has been one of West Ham’s best and most reliable players this season as he has continued to grow and improve.The international player from the Czech Republic paid merely £5 million to join the Hammers from Slavia Prague in October 2020, and his devotion to the team has made him a very well-liked member of the team.Given that he seemed to like living in East London as well, it was peculiar to read

The rationale behind this is that it seems he and his representatives believe he deserved a long-term contract.Furthermore, he is reportedly thinking about staying with West Ham.
Given how short players’ careers are, I understand why Coufal would have preferred a longer-term contract. After all, all players seek job stability.Still, I don’t get the impression from the 31-year-old that he is not pleased at the London Stadium.
As supporters, all we have to worry about is Vladimir Coufal giving it his best for West Ham every time he steps onto the field.
