From what l am hearing Tottenham aiming to ‘agree fee’ to sign Radu Dragusin ‘this week’

Tottenham Hotspur are aiming to make progress in their attempts to land Radu Dragusin ‘by the end of this week’, and transfer insider Dean Jones has told GIVEMESPORT that a significant hurdle has already been overcome as the Genoa star edges towards sealing a switch to Hotspur Way.

The search for a new central defender by Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou has became more intense after vice captain Cristian Romero had a hamstring strain during a close victory over Everton last month, sidelining him for several weeks.Spurs now have few choices at the center of their defense as the Argentina international has joined Micky van de Ven, who signed a £43 million deal from Bundesliga club Wolfsburg in August, on the treatment table.

Spurs agree personal terms with Dragusin

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that Tottenham has moved quickly to finalize their first winter window deal, as they have already reached a personal terms agreement with Dragusin after their proposal was accepted

The Italian journalist speculates that the Romanian international is waiting for Spurs to satisfy Genoa’s demands before traveling to north London. However, the two clubs have continued to communicate as they move closer to finalizing the deal. The Romanian international scored his second goal of the season as his current employers ended 2023 with a 1-1 draw with Serie A title-chasers Inter Milan.

Spurs have advanced in their chase after reputable reporter Paul Brown recently revealed to GIVEMESPORT that Dragusin might be a simple transaction to close because of Genoa’s financial difficulties and the teams’ productive working relationship.

The centre-back’s £26 million price tag from Stadio Luigi Ferraris is believed to have not stopped Spurs, as scouts were sent to watch him play against his previous employers Juventus last month.

Although Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo was higher on their list of priorities, Tottenham director Johan Lange was also present for the Serie A match and exercised control over Dragusin. Initially, they decided against heading straight to the bargaining tablThe 21-year-old’s consistent performances have led to Postecoglou facing late competition for his signature as it has emerged that Barcelona sporting director Deco has set his sights on hijacking the switch to the Premier League.

Dean Jones update – Radu Dragusi

Jones is aware that Tottenham has already overcome the challenge of negotiating personal conditions with Dragusin and are growing more optimistic that they will be able to achieve a monetary deal with Genoa in the next few days.

The credible reporter is aware that Spurs have shifted their focus to the former Sampdoria player after realizing they would need to be patient in their pursuit of Todibo, although they still aim to lower his £26 million asking price.

Postecoglou hits roadblock in Gallagher pursuit

FootballTransfers reports that Tottenham is unlikely to sign Conor Gallagher from London rivals Chelsea due to budgetary constraints, although they may reevaluate the agreement at the end of the current campaign.

The England international, who has frequently worn the Blues’ captain’s armband this season, may only be permitted to leave Stamford Bridge, according to the report, if a suitor makes a bid of at least £60 million. Should Spurs meet that threshold, they may be in violation of spending laws.

As Gallagher’s Chelsea future remains uncertain, a number of clubs are reportedly keeping an eye on him, including Everton, Newcastle United, and West Ham United, among others, as reliable journalist Ben Jacobs recently revealed to GIVEMESPORT.
