Bears say they never reached out to Jim Harbaugh

Bears say they never contacted Jim Harbaugh initially showed up on NBC Sports Chicago

Jim Harbaugh was never going to be the following lead trainer of the Chicago Bears. It’s not on the grounds that Harbaugh isn’t qualified. He surely is. Harbaugh has figured out how to win any place he goes, from taking the discouraged Stanford Cardinal and driving them to a renowned Orange Bowl win, to driving the 49ers to three-straight NFC Title games and one Super Bowl appearance, to taking a public title back to his institute of matriculation at Michigan.

It isn’t so much that Harbaugh wasn’t keen on getting back to the NFL. He reportedly hired a new agent and has long been linked to a professional job. Agreement says that move shows he’s genuinely thinking about leaving Michigan.

This is on the grounds that the Bears never contacted Harbaugh.

“I haven’t conversed with Jim,” Bears GM Ryan Shafts said in his year-end question and answer session at Halas Corridor. ” He’s the mentor at Michigan.”

On a superficial level it seems like carelessness on the Bears’ part. The Bears are so process-arranged, so centered around everything about turning over each stone, that it’s astounding to hear they didn’t contact Harbaugh to essentially measure his advantage in driving the group. They went through exhaustive assessments on top quarterbacks whenever they had the amazing chance to draft one final year, and they’ll do a similar this year, as they ought to. In the event that the group has the chance to add a distinct advantage at lead trainer, one would envision they’d deal with it like each and every other open door and investigate it.

Truth be told, Shafts could have thought about the open door anytime throughout the course of recent months. However, it seems like when his assessment of lead trainer Matt Eberflus was finished, so was the assessment of some other lead trainer applicant.

“We’re going with Matt,” Shafts said. ” I didn’t go converse with anyone.”

The Bears accept they have their person in Eberflus. They’re dazzled by the manner in which he held the group back from disintegrating when they lost their fourteenth game in succession.

According to Poles, “I really believe that the head coach needs to be able to captain the ship when the seas have storms, and really keep everything settled.” At the point when you go through difficult situations and he can hold everybody together, as far as I might be concerned, that is the basic piece. In a major market like this, you must areas of strength for be. That is to say, on the off chance that he’s leaping off the boat and every other person gets bouncing going the boat, it’s a train wreck. So the steadiness was a major piece of it.”

There’s not a great explanation to accept Harbaugh could never have been areas of strength for an on the off chance that he was in charge. That presumably didn’t make any difference however, since it’s reasonable the Bears would have rather not made waves.
