Everybody at Highmark Stadium is working hard!
A winter storm warning is in effect for much of western New York as the Buffalo Bills get ready to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday during wild-card weekend. The forecast calls for strong winds and heavy lake effect snow.
The team is contacting Bills Mafia to ask for assistance in getting Highmark Stadium ready for the playoff game, as snow is already starting to fall in Orchard Park. According to a post on the team website, the team is hiring snow shovelers for shifts that start on Saturday night and end on Sunday morning, if necessary.
The shovelers, who must be at least eighteen (18) years old (or under eighteen with proper documentation), are requested to bring their own shovels, though one will be given to them in case they forget. In addition to receiving $20 per hour, they will be provided with free food and breaks during their shifts.
The Buffalo area is expected to receive one to three feet of snow, so the Bills’ snow shovelers will probably be busy.
The NFL denied an earlier this week report from Pittsburgh’s KDKA-AM that suggested the game might be shifted from Buffalo to Cleveland because of bad weather.
Riding a five-game winning streak, the Bills (11–6) have a nearly 10-point advantage over the Steelers (10–7). Sunday’s kickoff at Highmark Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET, with CBS serving as the television broadcast.

The AccuWeather forecast indicates a high temperature of 24 degrees along with wind gusts of roughly 50 miles per hour.
