For some Buffalo supporters, it was an extremely long night.
The Buffalo Bills are still getting ready for their playoff matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday. The bulk of those preparations, they couldn’t complete without aid, however, calling on fans in the neighborhood to come to the stadium to help shovel snow out of Highmark Stadium starting at 12 a.m.
For their labors, shovelers will receive $20 per hour in compensation, in addition to “free breakfast and refreshments in the morning, served in a cozy break area.” If at all feasible, we ask that they bring their own shovels.
The fans in the stadium were seen shoveling snow in a video that was recorded on TikTok by user htbway at around five in the morning ET, and it was quite the sight, according to Steelers reporter Brooke Pryor.
The Bills used Twitter once more on Monday morning to ask supporters for further help shovelling snow in advance of kickoff, which is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET.
Snow is expected at Highmark Stadium in the fifth hour, according to AccuWeather, and there will be consistent winds of 10 to 15 mph during the game. The “RealFeel” temperature will be approximately 0ºF, with temperatures hovering in the mid-teens.

Over the weekend, there was a travel ban in place for Erie County in Western New York because of severe snowfall that in some places reached nearly two feet. According to the club, the County and State gave permission for anyone to go to the Orchard Park stadium and help with snow clearance.
Due to the winter storm, the NFL rescheduled Sunday’s Bills-Steelers Wild Card game for Monday at 4:30 p.m. ET.
With any luck, the stadium and surrounding roads will be cleaned in time for Bills Mafia to arrive before the game starts.
