Travis Kelce, a star for the Kansas City Chiefs, wants to make a clarification.

Many people believed that Kelce’s heartfelt touchdown celebration, which he made during his team’s 27–24 playoff victory over the Buffalo Bills, was meant for his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, who uses the same hand gesture when performing live.

It appears that Kelce merely wished to “spread the love.”

The Chiefs vs. Bills playoff game was always going to be an all-time classic, from a young fan teasing Swift before the game to a bare-chested Jason Kelce roaring in the stands to the Bills crowd pelting players with snowballs. This one simply had a very intense rivalry with a dash of extra love on top.

The Dallas Cowboys have been connected to moves for well-known wide receivers to complement CeeDee Lamb since the conclusion of the 2023 campaign. And no team has been more linked to a move involving Stefon Diggs of the Buffalo Bills than Dallas.

Naturally, a portion of that can be attributed to Diggs’ bond with his brother and Cowboys wide receiver Trevon Diggs. However, rumors about problems in Buffalo during the previous season have grown so much that bookies are now taking wagers on where the 30-year-old will play next.

Bovada has declared the Cowboys to be the front-runners to sign Diggs, should he decide to sign with another team, as those odds have opened. Dallas is favored by the book at +200, while the NFC East rival New York Giants are ranked second at +400.

Actually, nothing about the Diggs story is new. Dallas will probably be associated with Stefon Diggs as long as he plays for the Cowboys. That being said, it is unquestionably worthwhile to add a receiver of his caliber.

If Dallas is serious about leaving Buffalo, he might be in a good spot. Outside of the terms of the contract, the Bills have little negotiating leverage, and Diggs isn’t getting any younger.

Diggs’ Decrease in Production

Let’s just say that after three straight Pro Bowl seasons, Diggs was disappointed in 2023. In addition to Buffalo’s lackluster playoff performance, he didn’t have a great rapport with Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Bills.

Diggs caught 107 passes for 1183 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns, per PFR. Although it was a significant step down from his 2022 season, that was still an incredible NFL season. During the previous season, the former Maryland Terrapin caught 108 passes for 1429 yards and 11 touchdowns.

From the standpoint of a possible suitor, this raises a red signal. Diggs’ decline can be partially explained by Allen’s career-high 18 interceptions; however, Diggs dropped eight passes for the second straight year. That’s not a bad rate on 160 targets, but it doesn’t help that he was ineffective in the Bills’ last game.

Against the Kansas City Chiefs, Diggs caught three passes for 21 yards, but he also had a significant drop downfield. It’s evident that Buffalo is disconnected, but it’s unclear how much of that is Diggs’ fault.

Trevon’s social media activity is part of the reason why there is so much conjecture surrounding the Diggs and the Cowboys. Although both brothers are talkative people, Trevon’s injury seems to have given him more opportunity to voice his opinions.

The most explosive of all his remarks and posts regarding Stefon’s move to Dallas is probably the one he made on November 13. Following the Bills’ 24-22 defeat at the hands of the Denver Broncos, Trevon took to X to discuss his brother’s situation.
