The Chiefs went on to defeat the Bills in the following two seasons before losing to the Buccaneers in the 2020 Super Bowl and the Bengals in the 2021 AFC Championship game.
The Bengals ousted the Bills in the AFC divisional round last year before falling the next week to the Chiefs.
Despite quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ 13-3 straight-up record in his playoff career, Kansas City is a 3.5-point underdog against the Ravens on BetMGM Sportsbook, and oddsmakers anticipate that this trend will continue for a fifth consecutive season.
Three defeats occurred, two against Joe Burrow and one against the now-retired Tom Brady.
Brady’s first defeat came against the Patriots in Kansas City, and his second came against the Buccaneers in the Super Bowl.
