The San Francisco 49ers could be without one of their best players when they play the Detroit Lions in the NFC championship this weekend. There’s a 50/50 chance wide receiver Deebo Samuel will be able to play in Sunday’s game after suffering a shoulder injury against the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round. Samuel did not return from the injury.

Samuel is crucial to the offensive success of his team, and if he is unable to play, the team will definitely feel his absence. However, one legend is certain that he will play.

On 95.7 The Game on Wednesday, former 49ers wide receiver Jerry Rice stated, “I expect Deebo Samuel to be on that football field.” That is the main point. Given his competitive nature, I believe Deebo will be prepared to play.

This past season, Samuel, 28, amassed 1,117 yards from scrimmage and scored 12 touchdowns overall. Fox will air the matchup on Sunday night at 6:30.
