Eminem responded to the Lions’ difficult Sunday loss to the San Francisco 49ers on social media.
Without a doubt, Eminem is a devoted Detroit Lions supporter, and after the team lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game, he’s ready for a return the following year.
Even after the heartbreaking defeat on Sunday, 51-year-old Eminem maintained optimism and made the hilarious admission that, despite a fantastic season, his diss track for coach Ben Johnson would never see the light of day.
It seems like I should stop recording this garbage music! Lol!! Eminem posted about Johnson on X (previously Twitter) in response to reports that he had declined head coaching jobs in Seattle and Washington.
The rapper from “Mockingbird” continued, “@ Ben Johnson I’m grateful you stayed! This team is unbreakable, especially with me on it! We adore you, Coach Campbell, my brother! Let’s do it again the following year! I’m prepared! I’ll get us to the Super Bowl, I swear to you!”
The “Lose Yourself” rapper posted on X following the game, saying, “So proud of the @lions.” Many thanks for a fantastic season! We’re coming back!”
Eminem cheered for his team during the conference final on Sunday and several Lions games this season as Detroit experienced its first winning season in decades. Detroit made its first NFC Championship game appearance since January 1992 on Sunday.
The game at San Francisco’s Levi’s Stadium came down to the last seconds between the 49ers and the Lions, who were led by quarterback Jared Goff. It appeared as though the Lions would win at first, but with just over two minutes left in the game, the 49ers stormed back with 27 consecutive points to tie the score at 34-24.
Despite another touchdown from the Lions, the 49ers managed to pull off a thrilling comeback victory, winning 34–31. Next up, on February 11 in Las Vegas, San Francisco will play the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Hailie Jade Scott, Eminem’s daughter, also expressed her excitement for the upcoming season on social media.
She demonstrated how to make her “D.I.Y.” Lions jacket on TikTok, showing her cut up flag and sewing each piece onto the jacket.
A week prior to the rapper’s attendance at the NFC Championship, Eminem made a lighthearted request to Lions head coach Dan Campbell to start him in the match.
“Hey Dan, I’m here to report. I will submit a report. In an Instagram video, the rapper stated, “It’s the third quarter.” “Offensive line, eligible receiver, here I am reporting. I’ll be the starting quarterback and the offensive line as a whole. I’ll toss it to myself as the receiver and score a touchdown. during the third quarter. Give me a uniform, please. or even merely a helmet.”
“I’m going to be there that night, I’m going to suit up, and I’m going to score us the winning touchdown,” he continued.
