No one is talking about 40-year-old former Liverpool coach who is doing an incredible job right now

Naturally, Manchester City and Brentford were the main points of interest for us Liverpool supporters. Manchester City needed to lose to Chelsea in order for Liverpool to have any chance of winning their match against Brentford.

Fortunately, Liverpool prevailed in both outcomes.A very stunning 4-1 away win over Brentford was achieved by Jurgen Klopp’s team. In the meantime, City struggled at home and could only manage a 1-1 draw with their opponents.

While Liverpool supporters will focus on those outcomes, it’s possible that none of those matches had one of the biggest upsets of the day. Rather, it was Wolves’ triumph over Tottenham in London. Silently, Wolves are playing really well right now, and all of that is because of a former Liverpool employee.

Gary O’Neil is performing admirably for the Wolves.

Of course, Gary O’Neil is the manager of Wolves. He started his coaching career in 2020 as the assistant manager of Liverpool’s U21 team. He was with Liverpool for little more than six months before leaving to become assistant manager at Bournemouth before becoming head coach there.

Despite performing admirably, he was unexpectedly let go by Bournemouth last summer. Wolves promptly hired him, and O’Neil has flourished there this season.

His team is now tied with Chelsea for 11th place in the Premier League standings. O’Neil’s team has already defeated Chelsea twice, Tottenham once, and nearly achieved a win against Manchester United in the last two months alone.

But even with the outstanding outcomes, O’Neil isn’t receiving much attention at the moment. Despite the attractive offensive football his Wolves team is playing, he is undoubtedly a talented young manager in the league. He still has a bright future ahead of him at forty years old. He left his impact as a manager at Liverpool, thus the team ought to pay special attention to him.
