The heartbreaking loss of the San Francisco 49ers to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl has been discussed extensively. There have been accusations and finger-pointing, with some claiming that Brock Purdy, the quarterback, simply did not show up for the most important gameof his career.
But Cam Newton, a former NFL MVP, isn’t having any of it. The former MVP quarterback believes that Kyle Shanahan and the Niners coaches are solely to blame for the 49ers’ collapse.

Newton recently appeared on a podcast and defended Purdy. The legendary Carolina Panthers player claimed that Purdy performed well enough to place his team in a position to succeed

For his team’s choice to receive first in overtime, Shanahan has received a lot of criticism. Newton seems to be among those who think the Niners lost the game as a result of this unanticipated choice.
