Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore says the program is “satisfied but not satisfied” as it begins spring practice after a national championship season.
“They’re looking for more. Regarding his players, Moore remarked, “They always have that chip on their shoulder.” “You would think that once we won the natty, everyone would be happy, but that’s not the case. No, that’s not it. We’re craving more. We will continue to operate in that manner. And no, I’m not even trying to pun my name with that. It’s precisely what they desire. They desire everything. They wish to keep winning. They will put forth endless effort to maintain the Michigan heritage and win because they understand what it’s like to succeed.”
Moore also named several defensive players who have stood out to him early in spring practice:
“There’s a couple guys. Start on defense, the two guys I called out yesterday: DJ Waller, who played a little bit last year. He’s been awesome. He’s been super impressive, super long, super athletic. I think he’s going to be a phenomenal player,” Moore said. “Jyaire Hill: We call him ‘Sug.’ He’s phenomenal, made two big plays yesterday. He’s been fantastic. There are innumerable men who have distinguished themselves significantly. The folks you would expect, of course: the Donovans, the Masons, the Colstons, and so on.
“All of the quarterbacks are playing competitively and at a good level. It has been enjoyable. However, it was very amazing to watch those two young men succeed. Although they didn’t play much, it was still cool to watch. The other guy: TJ Guy has had an excellent start to the game.Enow Etta: really enthusiastic about him and his abilities. Like I always do, I wait to judge the offensive line until pads are on. They get upset with me over it, but it’s alright.”
