Spurs player called “crazy” for “stupidity” that would have cost his team”
Among the experts who criticized Cristian Romero for his tackle during Tottenham’s victory against Newcastle that ought to have resulted in his dismissal was Gary Neville.
Richarlison, Son Heung-min, and Destiny Udogie scored goals as Spurs easily defeated Newcastle 4-1.
But following Romero’s careless challenge on Callum Wilson in the 80th minute, the home team was fortunate to be able to play with their entire lineup.

With a 3-0 lead and cruise control, there was no need to issue a challenge. Following your punishment, you returned to the game and found that there was no actual needle. He merely exaggerates things. I was expecting them to switch to VAR after Chris Kavanagh was given a yellow card. The match would have gone to four games if he had been sent off. Though he’s an incredibly talented player, it’s useless to be constantly sent off.
