Jim Harbaugh might have given away a hint about what his coaching career—or Michigan’s—may hold.
In an interview conducted on Friday at a March For Life demonstration in Washington, D.C., Harbaugh responded, “Just back to work, getting ready for the next season,” when asked about his activities since winning the national championship with Michigan in the College Football Playoffs.
“There’s an incredible passing of the torch.”
Before the national championship game, rumors began to circulate about Harbaugh’s potential career paths in the NFL and in college.
But Harbaugh regrets not trying to plan too far ahead.
When asked how he has been coping with the amount of attention surrounding the significant decision, he replied, “I just take the counsel from God and the Holy Spirit, and Mr. Jack Harbaugh, my dad, and my wife, Sarah.” Simply following the guidance and living each day as it comes. Day by day. A single game at a time. One performance at a time.
With quarterback J.J. McCarthy at the controls—who recently declared for the 2024 NFL Draft—he guided the Wolverines to an undefeated 15-0 season.
In addition to making his own coaching decisions going forward, Harbaugh will be supporting his brother, John, who is the head coach of the Ravens, when he plays the Texans on Saturday in the AFC playoff divisional round.
“He is going to excel. Regarding what he anticipates happening at the playoff game, he stated, “The entire family will be there supporting my brother.” “I believe amazing things will occur.”
