Following the team’s playoff elimination at the hands of the Chiefs a few weeks ago, wide receiver Stefon Diggs of the Bills remained silent with reporters. But he did not remain silent during the Orlando Pro Bowl.
Diggs finished the season with just three receptions for 21 yards in the loss to Kansas City. The season was not without its ups and downs, including early doubts about his future with the team. However, he returned for training camp with a bang, and he made it plain that he wasn’t unhappy in Buffalo during the regular season.
But Diggs didn’t exactly provide a clear picture when asked about his plans for Buffalo in the future.
According to Stephen Holder of ESPN.com, Diggs stated, “I feel like I take it day by day.” “Obviously, a lot is happening—a lot of things are changing. You know what I mean when I say that I can’t really put the carriage before the horse? However, I have a fantastic offseason ahead of me to work hard and kind of build on our current situation and efforts. I’m still me, even though I can’t predict what the future will bring.
Diggs remained unambiguous when questioned about his dedication to the Bills: he’s prepared to play regardless of the direction the wind blows.
If a change of scenery is in the works, it is probably going to occur early in the off-season. A few days into the new league year in March, Diggs’ massive $18.5 million salary becomes fully guaranteed, so it won’t be long before he finds out his status for the start of the upcoming season.
