“You make a change and have a successful program. The way you attempt to manage the roster and maintain continuity in the program with the players you have and the guys you recruited is a little bit different. Overall, I believe they did a decent job of that.”
Regarding his first month of retirement, Saban reported that it has enabled him to play more golf and spend more time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
He expressed his eagerness to see if they could continue to support Alabama football, athletics, and the athletic program in any way possible. And I hope that the coaches and players there continue to enjoy tremendous success.
According to Saban, Terry Saban gave him a book titled The 12 Commandments of Being Retired the day after he retired.
