On Monday night, Michigan is famished and prepared to eat.
In the College Football National Championship, No. 1 Michigan (14-0) will play No. 2 Washington Huskies (14-0) on Monday night.
Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy described how head coach Jim Harbaugh is inspiring the team prior to the game.
He is very interested in this team’s ability to resemble a pack of wolves. McCarthy mentioned that he had this small board that he had made that depicted the wolves entering a fight, celebrating the kill and their food, and then leaving. “He will come up with any inventive way to connect football with the outside world. He executes it in a lovely and astute manner. His message is simply, “We are a pack of wolves, and this is going to be our last meal.”
Running back Blake Corum of Michigan also mentioned that Harbaugh had likened the Michigan squad to a pack of wolves.
That is what Coach Harbaugh said. This team is operating in that manner. We’re prepared to have our final meal,” Corum declared. Everybody is hungry. We are not at all full. We are going hungry. The game last week was awesome. We can discuss how much fun the game was from last week. But for the time being, we must remain focused on the task at hand and finish the job at hand.
We can discuss the Rose Bowl and the national championship after that week. But for now, our main priorities are practicing, performing at a high level, being meticulous, watching as much film as we can, and making sure that on Monday, we win and satisfy all of our Michigan fans, Michigan alumni, and the state of Michigan.
On Monday night, we’ll see if Michigan eats its prey. The current favorite, Michigan, is 4.5 points, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
